Discover Your Voice

Join The Complete Interactive Journey

Are you a self-taught singer who’s tried absolutely everything?

Did you wait patiently for the “breakthrough” moment where everything just clicks into place that so many singing gurus have promised?

But day after day you keep making the same mistakes with little to no progress… Then keep reading. Because it’s likely you’ve been completely misled about what it means to learn to sing. So that’s the bad news out of the way… here’s the good news:

There IS a “roadmap” that can take you from amateur to the very top of your game!

When you follow this “roadmap”, becoming a great singer doesn’t require years of practice or an investment of thousands of dollars—like a lot of conventional singing lessons do.

I’m talking about a proven, repeatable system that allows anyone who’s willing to put in the work to “discover” their unique voice and:

Be able to sing in any style safely & effortlessly

Discover that “rockstar” tone that so many seek

Unlock notes they never thought they’d sing

“My new range is between C3 and C6. I’m a Female with a naturally lower set voice. If I remember correctly I was stagnant at A4 before. Lots of progress has been made.”

- Ren

“Amazing! I can do this thing now!! And just through the break also! From c to f approximately.”

- Christian

“My highest note was D4… after three weeks, I´m able to hit C5…”

- John

“Maybe I’m Just Not Cut Out For This”

I remember having that thought years ago. Because like most self-taught singers, I’d tried just about everything. I’d watched all the YouTube videos. I’d gone on all the forums. But at the end of the day, nothing worked.

Even worse: It started to feel like there was something wrong with ME…That maybe my voice was just different than the rest…

Or that maybe I just wasn’t a “born singer” And it hurt to think that, at the rate I was going, I might NEVER unlock my voice – That I might grow into my old age without ever realizing my full singing potential.

And since music was the only thing I was ever really passionate about, that really hurt to think about. Thankfully, that all changed one day when I was goofing off online…

I Had Finally Discovered The “Roadmap” To A Great Voice

From there, learning to sing was as simple as “connecting the dots”… And it was AMAZING. For the first time in my life I felt the “freedom” that so many vocal coaches had talked about. To tell you the truth, I wouldn’t shut up after my breakthrough! And the best part was, no one was complaining! Imagine riding in the car with your friends…Your favorite song comes on, and you start singing along—naturally and effortlessly. Then suddenly, the car falls completely silent…

And the next thing you hear is:

“Where Did THAT Come From?!”

Moments like these are common when you’ve unlocked the full potential of your voice. At this point, I knew I was on to something…And I wanted to see if it could work for others as well as it worked for me. So I started making Youtube videos giving away pieces of my new methodology.

Discover Your Voice

Discover Your Voice is a self-paced 12-week course that is designed to help amateur to intermediate singers discover the true potential of their voices. And it not only covers every single “bridge” sound that I’ve discovered over the years, but it also contains crucial singing fundamentals: From how to position particular muscles in the mouth and throat to “unlock” the sounds you want to make, to how to manage “voice killers” like acid reflux and vocal fatigue. On top of that, I’ve included everything I know about music theory and composition as well

Here's a closer look at what's included:

Week One

In Week 1, I walk you through finding your comfortable range and “placing” your voice—which is the necessary first step to singing like a pro. You’ll also learn how to keep your voice healthy for life with some key tips on vocal care. Specifically, you’ll learn:

  • How to use “visualization” to make singing effortless. (The reason that singing is so easy for great singers is because they can visualize the “sweet spots” in their voice… in this lesson I teach you exactly how they do it.)
  • The popular beverage that is AWFUL for your vocal cords. (Almost everyone drinks this… but any good singer will tell you it’s terrible for your vocals for many reasons.)
  • How to eat to manage acid reflux. (I used these techniques to limit the acid reflux medication my doctor prescribed to me… and although my doctor told me I’d need surgery at one point, because of a few odd techniques I use, it hardly affects my voice anymore.)
  • How to “speak like a singer”. (Ironically, a lot of vocal damage comes from improper SPEAKING technique… and simply perfecting your speaking voice can help your singing immensely.)
  • Why resting can be the WORST thing you can do for your voice… (And what to do instead.)
  • How to clear phlegm from your throat WITHOUT clearing your throat. (Most vocal coaches will tell you that clearing your throat is horrible for you – and it is! – but almost no one talks about alternative ways to move mucus out of your throat safely.)
  • How to know if you have “silent reflux”… and what to do about it. (“Silent reflux” is a form of acid reflux that goes completely unnoticed in a lot of people—holding a lot of singers back… in Discover Your Voice, I teach you how to identify it and what to do about it.)
  • My take on common acid reflux medication. (I wish I knew this years ago… it’s affected me for life…)
  • When you should opt for vocal surgery. (I take a different stance on this than many vocal coaches… if you have any serious vocal damage, you need to hear this.)
  • The relationship between stress and the stomach… and how to manage both. (Believe it or not, stress can affect your voice ENORMOUSLY… in Discover Your Voice, I teach you my personal techniques for constantly keeping my stress levels low and my voice in top shape!)
  • And a whole lot more!

Week Two

Week 2 is all about “body awareness”… that is, becoming aware of tension in areas in the WHOLE body—not just the throat. Because it turns out that a lot of what causes vocal stress and tension in newer singers has more to do with the rest of the body than the vocal cords themselves… In this module, you’ll learn:

  • How to identify and release “tension spots” in your singing voice. (Oftentimes, the problems that singers have are the result of a few key “tension spots” in their voices… in this lesson, I teach you how to find and eliminate them as quickly as possible.)
  • My 3-step framework for releasing tension in the body & voice. (One of the biggest problems that new singers have is releasing tension in the voice AND the body… but this 3-step system makes it incredibly easy.)
  • The common problem that causes guitar players to “choke” while trying to sing. (There’s a weird thing that happens to the body when trying to sing and play guitar at the same time… if you sing and play guitar at the same time, this could change everything for you.)
  • How to REALLY sing from the diaphragm. (When a lot of people learn about singing from the diaphragm, they do it completely wrong… but once you learn how to “neutralize” the breath, all tension will release and singing with the diaphragm becomes second nature.)
  • How to use the breath to make your speaking voice healthier. (Speaking improperly can quickly fatigue the voice… but once you understand this trick, your singing AND speaking voice will become much healthier and longer-lasting.)
  • How to “link” the breath and the voice. (A lot of coaches will teach you how to breathe… and then leave you to put the pieces together on your own. In this lesson, I teach you how to breathe, and walk you through the steps to apply it to your singing.)
  • And a lot more…

Week Three

Week 3 is the first introduction to the “bridge” sounds I talked about earlier. This is where we really begin the process of “discovering” your voice. In this module, you’ll learn:

  • How to “relax” your way into powerful, gritty belts. (When people first start learning how to sing, they think that adding distortion to the voice is a matter of force… but really, it’s a lot more relaxing than they think.)
  • How to position your tongue & soft palate to “unlock” your full range. (A lot of the time, newer singer’s voices are essentially “blocked” by the tongue and soft palate… learning how to get them out of the way can unlock multiple new high notes instantly.)
  • My 5-step process to blend all your singing registers into a single voice. (For a lot of people, it can feel like the voice is “split into two”… but when you learn this process, your voice will almost immediately become completely unified.)
  • How imitating cartoon characters can unlock your voice’s full potential. (The voices of these 5 specific cartoon characters are my favorite “bridge” sounds… and you can use them to learn just about any singing style you want!)
  • How to find your “mixed voice” effortlessly & safely. (If you’ve ever had problems blending your registers, you NEED to see this…)
  • And a lot more…

Week Four

In Week 4, you’ll learn how to transform common spoken phrases into musical riffs. When pro singers say that singing is just as easy as speaking for them, it’s because they’ve approached singing gently, the way that I’ll teach you in this module. More specifically, you’ll learn:

  • How to use “mini songs” to start composing your own melodies and phrases… even if you have zero musical experience. (Like I said, this course is about becoming a MUSICIAN… and these mini songs are a perfect place to start.)
  • A simple way to master jumping from your head voice to chest voice. (One thing that I see beginners struggling with constantly is the ability to jump effortlessly between their head voice and chest voice without cracking… in this module, I use a commonly spoken 5-word phrase to teach you just that!)
  • How to sing loudly without fatiguing the voice. (Belting should be just as easy as yelling to your friend across the street… and in this lesson, we “bridge” those two concepts to make your belts effortless.)
  • An easy way to “dip your toes in” as a songwriter. (Everyone has to start somewhere… and in this module, I walk you through how to come up with unique melodies over just about any backing track.)
  • How to make singing as effortless as speaking. (The reason rockstars can go up on stage night after night is because they may as well be talking… once you understand this, you’ll be able to sing just as easily.)
  • And a lot more…

Week Five

In Week 5, we start working with the major scale—which any musician will need to understand at some point in their career—and start learning an easy way to identify pitches by ear. We’ll also begin to slowly grow your range so you can start accessing those coveted high notes. In this module, you’ll learn:

  • The weird “quiet” way to stretch your range. (This technique is basically the opposite of what most people would do to grow their range… which is probably why it works so well.)
  • The first step to learning to sing by ear. (There are a few specific intervals that make up the “building blocks” of all music… in this lesson, we begin to learn how to recognize them by ear.)
  • A game you can play to cement your “singing by ear” skill. (Games make it way easier to learn things… and this one will cement your knowledge of musical intervals…)
  • The “color by numbers” method of internalizing the major scale. (As a singer, it’s important to have musical intervals “internalized” so that you can create melodies on command. In this lesson, I teach you a quick “numerical” guide to the major scale to help quicken that memorization.)
  • How to find the “confidence notes” that sound best in your particular voice. (If you listen carefully, every pro singer has a few “confidence notes” where their particular voice really shines. In this lesson, I’ll help you identify those notes so that you can milk them for all they’re worth!)
  • And a lot more…

Week Six

In Week 6, we take some time to focus on the role your face plays in your singing voice (hint: it’s a big one), and walk through a few ways you can get feedback on your voice to double the speed of your growth. In this module, you’ll learn:

  • The anatomy of the inner face… and how each part affects the sound of your voice. (A lot of newer singers rush past fundamentals like this… but the truth is that your favorite singer probably knows how to utilize every single muscle in their face and throat to get the sounds they want.)
  • In-depth instructions on how to configure the face to master your singing voice. (More specifically, you’ll learn a quick system for how to move different parts of the face, mouth and throat to change the sound you produce.)
  • An introduction to recording your singing voice. (If you ever want to be a pro singer, or even make music as a hobby, you NEED to know how to record yourself… and this lesson teaches you the first step.)
  • How to fix specific “ugly” sounds in your voice. (A lot of newer singers make these specific “ugly” sounds… and in this module, I show you the “shortcut” to turning them into powerful belts.)
  • A simple way to gauge your voice WITHOUT recording yourself. (This trick is great for people who don’t have a microphone to record themselves with… because anyone with two arms can do it.)
  • And a lot more…

Week Seven

Week 7 is all about training your brain to be a “musician’s brain”… that is, a machine that can spit out melodies, harmonies, and amazing riffs on the spot. In this module, you’ll learn:

  • My 4-step process for getting the sound you want out of the voice. (This is the point in the course where we start to bring everything together… and turn bad sounds into GOOD sounds.)
  • How to “create relationships” with different notes to make singing by ear effortless. (If you want to compose music, you’ll need to learn how different intervals sound… and more importantly, FEEL. “Creating relationships” with different notes is the way to do that.)
  • How to stop yourself from choking on weird words when singing. (A lot of singers have words and vowels that trip them up and create massive tension in their voices… But if you break words down into these 2 elements, and you’ll be able to navigate around any weird words you come across in a song.)
  • How to train your ear to become a “harmony machine”. (In this lesson, I explain the building blocks of music… and once you understand them, your ear will naturally begin to pick out harmonies from a song on its own!)
  • How to “pre-place” notes in certain areas of the voice so you don’t have to think about it later. (Pro singers have this down pat… they don’t have to “think” about where a note is in their voice… they just do sing it! In this lesson, I’ll teach you how to “program” that into your brain.)
  • And a lot more…

Week Eight

In Week 8 we begin to tackle rhythm. This is something that a lot of singers don’t think about… until they get a polite tap on a shoulder from someone telling them that they’re totally off-beat in a song. In this module, you’ll learn:

  • How to “internalize” rhythm in your body & mind. (The reason why some people “just have rhythm” is because rhythm is so internal to their body and mind that they don’t have to think about it. In this lesson, I’ll teach you how to achieve the same thing.)
  • 3 specific ways to “enter” a note to completely relieve tension and add expressiveness to your singing. (Most singers focus solely on holding a note… but it’s equally important to know how to safely and confidently BEGIN a note.)
  • The 5-note scale that sets the stage for vocal improvisation. (Ever wonder how singers can go on for hours just making stuff up over a chord progression? It’s because they’ve “internalized” certain scales… and in this lesson, I teach you a simple scale you can use to improvise over almost any song.)
  • 6 grooves you can use to discover your own unique singing rhythm. (I’ve even included downloadable groove tracks so that you can practice as much as you’d like…)
  • The “lazy man’s” way to learn how to riff like the pros. (Learning to riff in this particular way makes it almost effortless…)
  • And a lot more…

Week Nine

In Week 9, we focus on melody & harmony. One of the most amazing things a singer can do is harmonize with another singer… and this skill is crucial if you ever want to play music with other people. In this module, you’ll learn:

  • How to internalize specific harmonies so you can sing them on “autopilot”. (As a singer, you’ll hear different chords and need to react without thinking… this is how you do it.)
  • How to pick out chords by ear. (If you want to play along with a band or just jam with other musicians, this is a crucial skill to have.)
  • How to train your brain to “hear” harmonies that aren’t there. (Every pro singer can do this… and it’s the key to being able to harmonize on command during a jam session or in a studio.)
  • How to create your own harmonies over existing songs. (I’ve even included 14 audio tracks you can use to practice…)
  • A weird “mechanical” way to write hit melodies, even if you’re not creative at all. (If you ever wondered how Beethoven could write despite the fact that he’s deaf, this is how he did it.)
  • And a lot more…

Week Ten

In Week 10, we finish mastering harmony and start getting to work on vocal distortion. This part of the program will be huge for any of you rock and metal singers out there! In this module, you’ll learn:

  • How to use the most annoying sound in the world to grow your range. (This sound will drive most people crazy within seconds… but with one “tweak”, you can use it to unlock your range in ways you never thought possible.)
  • The difference between “false cord” and “fry” style distortion. (And how to use both of them to distort your singing in different ways.)
  • How to scream completely effortlessly. (Just like singing, screaming shouldn’t “stress” your vocals at all… if screaming has ever been a struggle for you, this is the training for you.)
  • A “follow along” walkthrough to recording your first song. (All you need is a phone with a voice recorder and you can start composing your own music right here and now!)
  • How to distort your vocals by using LESS air. (A lot of people think you need to blast a ton of air into your vocal cords to distort your singing… but in this lesson, I’ll show you how using LESS air can be more effective.)
  • And a lot more…

Week Eleven

In Week 11, you’ll completely master the blending of your head voice and chest voice, so that you never have to worry about your voice cracking at a key moment during a song. In this module, you’ll learn:

  • My “one-stop” routine for warming up your entire voice. (I’ve used this specific technique for years, and it’s prevented me from suffering any vocal damage despite singing almost every day.)
  • The song you can use to blend your head and chest registers perfectly. (I believe in learning by doing, and this song is designed to make your head to chest blend completely seamless.)
  • How you can overcome your vocal break by purposely “breaking” your voice. (Ironically, when you purposely “break” your voice in this specific way, it can lead to a much clearer, more powerful mixed voice.)
  • How to connect a great singing tone to the FEELING of singing well. (The whole point of this program is to internalize the feeling of singing so you never have to think about it again… this is the first step to singing as effortlessly as the pros do.)
  • A “follow-along” training you can use to maximize your range. (In this training, I show you all the common mistakes people make in trying to sing higher and how to overcome them… all you have to do is follow along with me!)
  • And a lot more…

Week Twelve

In Week 12, we wrap up the program by covering how to stretch your range to its limits and stylize your singing with articulations and vibrato. In this module, you’ll learn:

  • My simple rule for taking care of your voice. (Above all else, follow THIS rule if you want your voice to stay powerful for your entire life.)
  • How to modify your vowels so that your voice never “breaks” again. (There are specific vowel placements that make it easier to sing high notes… in this lesson, I explain how place vowels at the different areas of your voice to maximize your range.)
  • A way to “accidentally” hit your highest notes. (In this lesson, we use a VERY annoying “bridge” sound to help you accidentally hit the highest notes in your range.)
  • How to train your voice to be as dynamic as your favorite singers. (The best singers out there can sing loudly and softly with the same amount of precision… in this lesson, I’ll teach you a few “bridge” sounds you can use to develop a masterful dynamic voice.)
  • The effortless way to “fall” into POWERFUL vibrato. (Vibrato should be effortless… and with this technique, vibrato becomes so natural that you can “fall” into it on command.)
  • And a lot more…

Frequently Asked Questions

The course starts when you enroll and unfolds over a 12 week time period. After the 12 weeks, you have all the content for the whole course forever to go back and reference at any time.

How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like – across any and all devices you own.

Not a big deal at all. I’ve structured this course to be semi-self paced. This means that each new block of training is designed to be taken over the period of one week. BUT if you’re on vacation or get behind one week, you don’t just miss that week. The content will be posted and you can go through it when it works for you. Just remember not to try and play ”catch up’. There’s no need to. Go by the “week at a time” pace and you’ll be in great shape!

I would never want you to be unhappy! If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, contact me in the first 30 days and I will give you a full refund.

If you’re following the practice guidelines outlined in the course, this shouldn’t happen. But learning to listen to your body and sense when it needs rest is part of discovering your voice. Learn to take intentional time throughout the day to rest your voice.

YES! That’s part of the fun! You’ll be taking the course along side other students who are doing the same content you are doing week by week. There are also Q&A sessions built into certain weeks that are directly driven by the group currently going through the course.

If that sounds like a lot… it is. That’s why it’s 12 weeks long! Now, I want to clarify something here: Discover Your Voice is largely a self-paced program!! You can go through it as slowly as you want… even if it takes you years to finish all the material. And of course, you can go back to its contents as many times as you need to during your singing career. BUT one thing you CAN’T do is burn through all of the content in a couple days. I’ve specifically “drip-fed” the content week-by-week so that every student has to take the time to fully absorb and practice the material.

So if you’re the impatient type… This program ISN’T for you. Like I said earlier, if you’re looking for a “magic pill”, you won’t find it here… and you probably won’t find it anywhere. Even though it’s a “follow-along” style program, Discover Your Voice still requires some work on your end. But the good news is, the hard working folks who are patient enough to follow the system tend to see some pretty amazing results!!

And that’s not even the best part…
"Chris is one of the best musicians I know. Particularly, he’s an amazing vocalist, with chops in a wide variety of styles. On top of this, he’s patient and specific in his teaching, making him a great coach and instructor."
Daniel Wakefield
Film Composer, Song Writer
"As a largely self-taught vocalist, Chris’ training did more than I could have hoped for by allowing me to keep what I liked about my voice and then growing from there. His exercises and teaching were easy to grasp, but had enough depth that they remained essential even as I began to grow. A few years later, I find myself reviewing the same techniques over and over while singing songs that would have been completely off limits two years ago."
Dan Pahlau
Band Leader & Music Director
"Chris understands how vocals work. He's learned how to unlock natural ability, and approach singing in a way that sets aside the inhibiting fear that resides in most of us. I’ve worked with Chris since 2007 and, until then, I had never heard a vocalist like him; especially one who attacks, massages and caresses a melody like he does. He delivers great vocal performances in pretty much any genre. What makes Chris’ ability even more valuable is that he can successfully teach others -- something that is rare among accomplished vocalists."
Banner Kidd
Commercial Jingle Writer
"I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember and truly thought I knew how to sing. Boy was I wrong! After suffering a vocal injury and working with a therapist, it was time for me to actually learn HOW to sing. Chris gave me a vocal foundation that began with relaxing all the way up to specific exercise to expand my range. I learned simple techniques that enabled me to sing more purely, naturally, and effectively. The training I received has made me a much better and healthy singer. I could not recommend Chris’ vocal training enough!."
Josh Brown
Voice Over Artist

All Of This… For Less Than The Price Of ONE Singing Lesson

Professional singers often charge $100-200 per hour to teach you how to sing… That means that over a lifetime of lessons, you could wind up paying more than $10,000, And the thing is, a lot of people are happy to pay that to unlock the full potential of their voices. For all the information in this program, I could easily charge thousands, but the whole reason I put this “roadmap” together is to allow as many people as possible to unlock their voices.

So I’m not going to charge you $1,000…

Or $500…

Or even $200—which, again, a lot of coaches would charge for a SINGLE HOUR of their time…

You’ll get a full education in not just how to SING… but how to become a SINGER… for less than the price of one hour of vocal lessons.
So if you’re ready to make a difference in your singing…
