Geoff Tate has incredible range both in expression and tone and of course NOTES! He got his start in an era where if you couldn’t sing REALLY well, you were probably not going to front a Rock band. How things have changed!! 🙂

Don’t get me wrong, I love 90s and beyond music and there’s some incredible singing still going on, but back in the 80s, the standards were different. The singers had less “fix it” tools and the genre demanded some serious chops.
