Lows and thick pitch screams with Gojira’s Joe Duplantier
This might be a first for me… But I got a chance to react to an analyze Gojira’s “Art of Dying” having not ever seen the video.
(Yes, I realize that’s what most ‘reactors’ do) It’s tough more me to be in this role though. I love to study and prepare. And the ‘cold reaction’ thing doesn’t jive with that 🙂
Nevertheless… That’s what I did for this video AND I was still able to get deep in to how Joe Duplantier gets his wallowing lows and thick pitch screams. This style isn’t something I’ve experimented with a lot, but I sure enjoyed unlocking some things in my own voice by going through it.
