There’s lots of cool vocal production to learn from in this track, and the perspective we get when digging into Tim’s unusual sounding grit and rasp is REALLY enlightening!

Because of these isolated vocals, we get to peel back the layers and analyze his rasp, the way he layers his voice & how he makes lots of different arrangements with it within the context of all the other things going on in the music.

He’s got this ‘broken’ and almost laid back angst that happens when he really gets into it. This is the hardest kind of vibe to get into when we’re singing with distortion because we always think that distortion is associated with push and volume.
