These THREE Words Will Completely Change Your Singing
There are a lot of melodies written initially without the eventual or actual words. Singers will lean into an inspiration and just mumble sounds as they are working through what will eventually be an incredible song.
The Beatles “Yesterday” is a perfect example of this. Paul started with mumbling and a melody and some chord changes, then it was “Ham and eggs…” And would eventually be turned into the song that we’ve come to know and love. The initial words or sounds created inspirational sounds that lead to some neat places!
This is such a common and inevitable way to create and provide for discovery because we’re allowing our voice and mind to just LET things happen based off of whims. We let the inspiration of the sound of vowels or a nonsense phrase take us to places we’d never go if it were not for that openness to follow what seems like nonsense.
Over many years, I’ve used THREE WORDS to help me place my voice dynamically, perform great feeling and sounding melodies and unlock all sorts of inspired writing and arranging ideas. They really have changed the way I sing in a profound way! Check out this new video I’ve made on these three words and see if experimenting with them the way that I do helps you in amazing ways as well!
