Even for the pros, vocal recording isn’t a streamlined process. It’s a GRIND… But it’s fun too 🙂 Join me as I dig into Chester and Mike working out parts that would eventually turn into some of Linkin Park’s best songs.
And while we’re watching, ask your self this: What does this mean for MY vocal recording process? It’s not about nailing the take or being able to sing a song all the way through (in the studio at least).
It’s about having a very critical and honed in sense of what the song needs. Then, feeling free enough to experiment and try new things until all the vocal parts (melody, harmonies and other backing vocals) serve the song!
