I was listening to some Queen the other day and got completely re-enamored with Freddie’s performance on “Love of My Life”. The smoothness, transitions, emotional connection and dynamics… It’s chilling really.
And I got to thinking about what he must have looked like, or what must have been going on with him in the studio when he was giving this performance. Then I went out and watched some live performances of the song and this led me to making the lesson I’m sharing with you today.
I don’t talk about this aspect of singing all that often on the channel but it is a HUGE component to having a great voice and delivering superb vocal performances. AND, this mindset and approach literally works across EVERY single way of singing in every genre.
